This is me, trying.

Lion visited his school the week before he started. It was wonderful to see him love it so much and get comfortable so quickly.

He made 5 rainbow fish, for us and Gillian and Kalila

On monday, the day before our friends memorial service, Kyle took the day off to reflect and gave generously of his time to help me drive to the Flint La Leche League Enrichment meeting to be the speaker.  It took our minds off of thngs for the time we were there.  The mammas there were AMAZING!

Night rainbow 1 and Kyle, teaching the double hammock.

Success!

There were lots of experienced mammas there and it was so much fun to explore wearing older kids for a change of pace.

This mamma had twin big boys, this is an 18 inch o&a.

and here is the other twin in a toddler filiokus meitai, almost 20 in body, one of my favorite big kid carriers.

It was great to have stephanie there to help teach, and to talk to.

they love tussah silk nino

Steph is working on finding a carrier for her mom and nora to use together, the o&a seems to be a good fit.

a carrier that fits well goes all the way to the back of the child's knees and all the way to the top of their shoulder blades.

Kyle even snapped a pic of me in there!

There were 2 proud tandem nursing mammas in this La leche group. It was nice to be in good company for a change. :)

I could not take enough pictures of this mamma nursing her twins. It was so beautiful.

The host's beautiful baby girl

Kyle, outside the house, such a big help!

Our weeping cherry tree fell over as a result of our construction. I will miss our yearly pictures and the beauty of the blossoms every spring. But compared to losing Liz, I feel almost nothing.

It was big and beautiful and awesome.

Pregnant Sandy looking beautiful in front of the tree.

Tuesday Lion had his first day of school

The play table is full of something different every day.

We grew some awesome corn for the first time ever this year.

I decided to cut off of my dreadlocks, because I was dreading my hair with my friend who passed, and it was just to hard to see and feel them all the time.

Then Sandy and I had to brush the nubs out.

We were at Meaghans, and she helped in this awesome way as edith was trying to sleep and Camillia was trying to get her mom to stop doing my hair. :)

We decided to get I-Pad's instead of Dvd players in the new minivan that we are working on buying, and the kids LOVE them.

Sabbatical

I think I spelled that right.

excuse me while I take a break from blogging for  a while.  I don’t know if it will be a week or more, but the loss of a great friend, I found out, makes it feel impossible to go on.  With anything.   I promise I will be back, as soon as I can breathe again.

Ann Arbor Babywearers

Today the Red Pfau ventured out for the first time. Meaghan was the only one brave enough to wrap them up. My online friends are suggesting that the wrap be named "Freebird" because the wrap was kept in the box for so long. :)

They looked FAB!!!!!

Jade royal on Lauren, I really wanted her to try on a jade.

Learning new back carries can be daunting, but these mammas are taking it in stride. :)

Yummy green leo and a beautiful boy!

Then the group Cassis Waves passed the taste test as we all learned the Semi Front Wrap Cross Carry together

Beautiful Elsa on Beautiful Camillia

Then we learned the Back War Cross carry as a small group

Sleepy babe

Both mammas tried ruck straps instead of any passes, twists or knots over the body.  This carry can be done with a 4 (3.6m) by most body types.

Lauren's new P/E fish 4 (our old lovey!!)

One last shot of an awesome back carry before lunch

Before Lunch Came

By the time the food was ready. . .

Beautiful peaceful lunch for this mamma. :)

My favorite salad! The Moroccan Chicken Salad at the California Pizza Kitchen is amazing.

Bigger Babies are a Bigger Challenge in restaurants.

Meaghan had to run to work, and I was so happy to have had her squeeze in both AABW'ers and work :) and even more happy to see her and Edith in Night rainbow 2.

Lunch was a happy wearing-full event.

Sandy's hair was beautiful and special for her Birthday which she kept a secret. :) silly mamma. :)

Judah Fell asleep in RastaMamma while we walked around a bit. It's so much easier than trying to put her in the car while awake and fussy. :)

Both Grandmas came on tuesday and helped me so much!  Lion was Thrilled to see his Dommy and It was a real surprise to have my parents back in town early.

Picking out her own clothes!

She picked out kyle's shirt, and wore it all day

We stopped at Meijers after picking up Sari.

This sloppy wrap job saved us from a mid aisle meltdown.

Then I signed for a special package from Germany!!!!

Kyle suggested we wait and open it together, a huge challenge, totally worth it!

Our Red Pfau won on Ebay!!! A one of a kind didymos wrap.

The border is so unique and special!

We are totally in love with the wrap and the Babe!

I got to try after dinner! It is wide and yummy and wraps like heaven.

Her dress was rigged with a Knot and a babyleg. :) It really worked all day.

Party’s all day!

On Sunday Morning we picked up Baba and took her to the Drummunity Drumcircle in the Kerrytown Courtyard to watch the kids and Kyle have a ball.

There were tons of drums to choose from as well as shakers and mallets and every kind of rhythm toy you can imagine.

Kyle and Baba had this matched set going

The leaders were leading call and response games and fun rhythms.

Lion mid-drum! This event was really geared toward him.

Judah enjoyed it though too. It was very hot though.

We all loved the free feeling I think. It was a bit of controlled chaos. :)

Kyle nabbed this pic of my grandma dancing in the middle of the circle with 2 tambourene's over her head, soaking in the rhythm.

It was hot (like 88 ish and MUGGY so worth mentioning again), and Judah kept wanting to put mallets in her mouth

Then I took the kids to Ishea's Birthday Party

Oh the Fire Fish Hotness! Lauren and Fin were lookin smokin' "wrong" side out!

Lion loves other kids toys, they make him so happy! I think School is going to be awesome for him.

The Beautiful Birthday Girl.

The Beautiful Birthing-day Mamma with her 6th babe, now 1 year old.

Sweet Baby Kiss!

The birthday girl was a bit upset about her Hummus incident, but we all thought it was pretty cute. :) .

Judah has been loving trying on different hats and dragging around bags and purses. Here she is about to swap from the headphones to lion's helmet.

Sunday was busy and wonderful.  I love looking back at the pictures of the children loving their life!

Having help is wonderful!

My wraps are my extra hands when my new babysitters are not around.  We have a great new couple in town who has started coming over and helping with the kids until Lion starts school.  Then helping with judah during my latter pregnancy, and I hope they stay around long enough to meet the new bean!

We wrap and unwrap alot for nursing, blogging and just to be close. This is our Jade Royal, a comfy cushy wrap.

Goofy look on Judah's face, but we wore Violet white indio to visit the discovery Center, lion's new school that he is going to start in a week!

He is so excited, he always asks why he's not staying yet!!! I'm going to miss him so much.

Miss Thang Loves my pink and purple taco bell cups. I swear this is watered down apple juice. She just loves the cups. I on the other hand have been craving root beer lately, hence the cups appearance. :)

This passed weekend was Dexter Daze. Free music and fun for all. We walked downtown with the Lieburns and had a blast.

Sweet girls taking a water break in their matching jelly shoes. :)

Lion has been using my camera when I leave it in reach lately. :) He is really in to Thomas the Tank Engine right now, and he took this pic, I'm sure of it. :)

The days go by so happily!

We used Night rainbow all day wednesday for lots of errands, here we are outside the Post Office

and the bank, in and out of the car without even waking up.

Even on a super hot day, wraps are really breathable.

Having Morning sickness allows me to see my garden early in the morning as the sun comes up.

I watched this rose open on my favorite rosebush yesterday morning, and it was so beautiful.

Wearing your doggy is a great way to include him in all you do! :)

I took my grandma out to lunch while the kids were at gillian's. I couldn't crop lion out of this pic for some reason, But I love this picture of grandma.

After I picked up the kids, I took them back to see a concert at Baba's Home.

They were really well behaved

And of course Doggy came along for the ride and to see the show. :) It made grandma so happy to see them climbing around.

Judah fell asleep and we went back to Baba's room to play for a bit.

This Bebina Zodiac sling is the softest wrap I have ever felt.

After work, Kyle is working hard on finishing the deck, a project he is winging and doing really well with, considering it was started by someone else. I am so proud of him and it looks great!

I think Lion took this picture of me passed out on the couch when they came in from deck building. :) Being Pregnant is so tiring.

A really busy sunday, that needs 2 entries.

Picking out clothes to match a wrap is so much fun! Especially a visiting one.

My final destination is Ellen Crossly's Baby shower, and I really love showing off babywearing at mainstream baby showers.
