Nurse Family Partnership of Detroit – The most wonderful discovery, and the beginning of an Amazing Alliance!

This is the beginning of a beautiful babywearing journey!  A beautiful new way to get wraps into the hands of parents and babies that need them!

About 9 months ago I met Angie, the head nurse at Nurse Family Partnership of Detroit, when she came into Elephant Ears and it was Fate.  For those of you who don’t know about Nurse Family Partnership, like myself before I met Angie that day, here is a summary and a link, but before you click, basically this team of public health nurses visits moms enrolled in the program all around detroit after their baby is born every two weeks for a year.  Their goals are both heath oriented and education based.

Elephant Ears and NFPartnership have been teaming up since last October training and getting ready to introduce the One Love Wrapsody as being available as their gift through the program, and then the nurses will be able to offer their support as they make their regular visits on tier round through the city.  Nurse Kim has been so kind including me on one of her home visits, and it is clear that the participants in the program are interested in wrapping and wearing their babies.

We raffled off 2 one love exclusive wrapsody wraps too 2 awesome mamas and their babes.

The parents enjoyed their hands free time eating and watching a set of wonderful presentations from the nurses, myself and a few other wonderful guest presenters.
