The case of the missing camera cards

Judah has been shoving things into the cd-rom drive of our computer. I am missing my high definition camera cards and it really is cheesing me off. Β  Any -whoo Β I’ll just proceed with today and let those pictures go. Β If those cards return/get extracted (as I suspect their location) Β I’ll do a flash back entry. πŸ™‚

Ann Arbor Babywearers today was wonderful.

Yay for friends! Simone is growing up!

First back ride in Cassis Waves, One of our group wraps

Cassis waves is really beautiful, but this 7 week old steals the show!

We had a 7 week old boy convention today. Peacock girasol was a comfy ride for this guy. πŸ™‚

This 9 month old was super comfy in our ergo performance

I love our group

These guys fit right in! We had a lot of awesome new members today!

Judah is obsessed with kissing her baby. I am obsessed with ninos. Atlantic nino was the crush of the day. I always forget that it is a size 7. . .

Lauren's "Scary Blossoms" (Didymos Cherry Blossoms dyed black) are awesome in real life.

Barb looking beautiful as always.

Joseph had his first ride in a double hammock carry in his silver waves.

These two seem really comfy in this petals and puddles meitai. πŸ™‚

I was surprised at how much the standard kinderpack ate Caleb. πŸ™‚ the boba was both a better fit for baby and daddy πŸ™‚

Beautiful tandem carry in an Inka Octi Mei Tai

Our group is growing so well.

Want my apple? Atlantic Nino on front and a kinderpack on my back

Garnet Pfau makes and Awesome wrap swing for a 7 year old.

This mama was new to us, but not new to wrapping πŸ™‚ as we soon found out πŸ™‚

Ms. V loves her Boba πŸ™‚

I love this picture. πŸ™‚ Hands free twins. Wrap conversions with wrap or duo style straps are amazing for carrying twins. πŸ™‚

Inka is apparently delicious

I spent most of the meeting this way πŸ™‚ It reminded me of when judah was tiny.

We had 2 mamas there who are expecting, practicing and observing, which means soon, new squishy pictures!!!!!

the weighted doll is a great learning tool. I can barely remember how I got along without one.

We had a really active group today!!!

I spent more time at home after the meeting learning and obsessing about old ninos. Bonus geeky tag picture of mystery nino.

My new Camera has a rechargeable battery. . .

And It died in the beginning of Ann Arbor Babywearers this week!

So I just have a few pics like this!!!! No other wearing pics. It was quite a change not being able to photograph everyones progress.

Lots of little babies though!

We had a new amazing sitter start this week, as Lion has decided that he "Does not need to go to school anymore." His happiness level has improved. So has ours!

Here is a picture of all of the Ellevill wraps in my stash. Jade Deli le, and Jade Royal on the right, and Zaras aubergine, Earth and Forest on the left. This brand is amazing. The 2 weaves have 2 very different textures and feel very different when worn. Zaras are smoother and thinner, great in multi layer carries, and Jades are Thicker, with alot of bounce to them when you walk (I also call this "shock absorbant") the texture make them a wrap for the more advanced wrapper, as multiple passes can be hard to move around and across the bodies.

New rainbow jammies are bringing us all joy. :)I have been wearing Lion and pacing the house lately, hoping to kick start labor. πŸ™‚ Azure 55% linen is the perfect beast for the job!

I can still wear him for a good 20 mins. but not too much longer. . . .

My dear sweet wrapping friends Barb and Lauren took me to lunch yesterday as a way to get my mind off of still being pregnant. Neobulle Julie is so beautiful, and even though you can't see it in this pic, it matches Lauren's coat perfectly!

Thanks to all of my online and In Real Life friends and family for helping support me through these last few weeks of pregnancy. Β It is an amazing journey, and I can’t wait to meet the result!!!!!

A quick week in review.

Ok I have been laboring on and off with this baby thinking it is going to make it’s appearance any day. Β Some nights I’m pacing the house with contractions thinking “this is it!” Β and some nights I go to bed not even expecting to wake in labor. Β It is quite an emotional roller coaster.

I have had the luxury of enjoying my temp-traded wraps, as both children seem to want to be wrapped more often lately. This Natibaby Sweetplace with Cashmere is an amazing wrap, wide, yummy soft and supportive.

Lion brought me our old yummy floppy Natural Linen Indio and said "Mom can I go on your back in this one? This one was my favorite." πŸ™‚ We had the most wonderful snuggle. πŸ™‚

Here is a shot showing how goofy a 9 months pregnant woman looks wearing 45 lb preschooler. πŸ™‚

Kobalt-zimpt cotton indio is one of the most beautiful wraps!!! I love the blues and oranges together. This carry is half a Regular ruck tied in front, and half a back wrap cross carry with ruck straps πŸ™‚ It was a comfy double layer carry! I don't think Judah likes a full BWCC with 3 passes across her.

Love these sweet kids! The Wrapping gives me a chance to hold them, even though I cant really pick them up with my arms anymore. Lion is even having trouble sitting on my lap now, which may account for his asking to be worn more.

Sara and Simone having a snuggle in Hemp Honeywrap Bloodorange

We said goodbye to our sweet babysitters , we wish them well on their travels!

Judah is getting really good at posing for the camera. πŸ™‚

Example B

At the saturday Ann Arbor Babywearers Meeting for January, Kyle wore Judah in Anna Storchenweige ringsling. Judah has been napping often in the morning. Its a nice change of pace πŸ™‚

I hope Lauren will trade us for this amazing wrap. All 4 of us are in love with its wrapping qualities. πŸ™‚

Hopefully I won’t be pregnant too much longer! Β Today I am 38 weeks, and both Lion and Judah were born at 37 weeks. Β Pre-Labors are a psych out!!! Β I am getting very ready to meet the newest member of our family and find out all about them. Β Sleeping has practically become impossible, a sure sign of impending birth.

Ann Arbor Babywearers 1-25-11

I’m officially too big to bring Judah anymore because I can’t chase her!

So I borrowed a twin! Thanks mamma!

And fell in love with Natural Silk Nino. This ringsling is from Lauren's collection πŸ™‚ It is so SOFT! I am so excited to carry the new baby in it.

We all fell in love with Natural Silk Nino. πŸ™‚

It's texture is so soft and dense. The silk and the cotton are blended, rather than a 2 faced weave like my Tussah silk nino, giving a much softer feel πŸ™‚

Thanks for the loan gals! You look great in Zara Forest. πŸ™‚

Ok on to the highlights of the meeting!!! Β Another amazing group full of all kinds of babywearing questions about all kinds of babywearing devices πŸ™‚

Ergo Hip Carry

Nursing one while wearing another πŸ™‚

Comfy Babies, Confident Mamma. πŸ™‚ this is a Girasol Woven Wrap and a Olives and Applesauce Carrier. πŸ™‚

Girasol Amitola with Purple Weft . πŸ™‚

Hopps are amazing ruck wraps!!! La Paz looks awesome on Lauren, no?

This mamma is trying to pick a woven. Today she tried Tussah Silk Fish (Lauren you might be evil πŸ™‚ ) and I think she fell hard!!!

Total approval πŸ™‚

Amitola with Yellow weft, is so beautiful on blondes!

Wendy and trav look amazing in their Burgundy Pfau

Party at my house after with the Flint Ladies!!!

Jade Deli and Tokyo Hopp in an RUB

Nice deep seat in a soft wide Tokyp Hoppaditz

We all gushed about the wrapping qualities of Viola Ellipses and Tadgh πŸ™‚

Oh, and NSN, did I mention the snuggly softness of it? I might have to find one in wrap form for the new baby. πŸ™‚

The ringsling keeps her out of the way of the big belly, but still close for snuggles.

Ann Arbor Babywearers 1-18-11

First order of the meeting is always to help the youngest babies. πŸ™‚ this one jumped from a moby to a woven for the first time in Panama Hopp.

THis sakura bloom silk ringsling is brand new, just like it's occupant. πŸ™‚ I bet it will look a lot more broken in next time we see them, look how comfy and happy this mamma-baby pair is!

Lindsay is becoming a pro, and loving making her own wraps from fabric at fabric stores.

It's a good thing we have a regular twin mamma now because look who came back from Downunder πŸ™‚ and decided to tackle tandem wearing! There was no more perfect pair than these two twin mammas πŸ™‚

I love peacock old weave girasol. I wish I could sleep in it! Look how comfy!!!

and a switch up to one of my favorite twin combos, a wrap/carrier combo. πŸ™‚

Oh Linkon, we all think your cool!

I think a wrap pod will soon be in Barbs stash. Mira rides like she's in a pod most of the time anyway! πŸ™‚

Petrol Pfau looked awesome on Moonbeam and Ferris right? Look at how much Ferris is Growing!

It was so great to see these four ladies reunited!!!

Beautiful Ruck on my goddaughter in Snow Rainbow Girasol.

Fire Fish was really made for these ladies.

These two are learning to use their babyhawk in many different ways. It feels like a new one each week! πŸ™‚

Another day with a great turnout and lots of new mammas. I am overjoyed!!!

Ann Arbor Babywearers 1-11-11

I just wanted to type the date. Β How cool!

the groups of little babies are so fun to watch!

Judah had a quick snack in our new hoppaditz La Paz

Then Simone had a turn. πŸ™‚ I have been really enjoying hopps a lot!

Moby'd this little guy right up, and look at how happy they are!!!

helping eachother is the name of the game πŸ™‚

Baby Simone napping in Panama Hopp

a gmbbb on front and beco 4th generation on the back. I love the combo of a stretch wrap on the front and a carrier on the back. It is great to be able to take either twin off with out waking the other if one is asleep πŸ™‚

awwwww! πŸ™‚

More moby fun with sweet little boys!

Robins hip carry with a Didymos Iris stripes and Cassis waves πŸ™‚

Robins hip carry scooted to the back for some quick laundry/chores action! Loved this!!!

Boba, Sleeping baby productions ringsling, and moby, all snuggling their babes close to their mammas!!! I love all of the beautiful carriers that the women in our group bring to share!

Where’s Becca been?

The camera got Juiced!!!!!! (literally got Juice dumped on it.) Β Can you imagine my torture? Β Thanks to my ever generous father, Ann Arbor Babywearers is going to be graced with a Becca with a new camera in her hand! Β So I promise a fat juicy picture filled post tomorrow.

I just didn’t feel right blogging without pictures. Β So Back in a flash!

here were the camera’s dying shots

Ann Arbor babywearers had what I think was it's biggest meeting ever. There were so many parents and babies not in this picture! I've decided to make a sign in sheet so we can start keeping track of these things better. I guess its obvious by now I'm no organizational genius, just a babywearing mamma on a mission!

The boys in Zara Forest. Lion still craves closeness from time to time and asks to be wrapped.

Judah and I breaking in the beautiful and subtle and supportive Blue Silk Rhombus

And one last goodbye wrap for toscana ellipses. She is going to be much better loved somewhere else I think. πŸ™‚ despite her beauty.
